چکیده
The objective of this study was to investigate the yield and characteristics collagen protein extracted from muscle four different species mantis shrimp: Miyakella nepa, Harpiosquilla harpax, Erugosquilla woodmasoni, Odontodactylus cultrifer. Mantis shrimp by using a pepsin-solubilization technique, with 0.5 M acetic acid 5% pepsin enzyme. highest M. nepa (0.478 ± 0.06%), which significantly greater (p < 0.05) than that H. O. cultrifer, E. woodmasoni (0.313 0.03%, 0.123 0.02%, 0.015 0.00%, respectively). freeze-dried appeared as thin fibers, formed an opaque film. pepsin-soluble (PSC) analyzed gel electrophoresis. results showed all contained type I collagen, consisting β, α1, α2 subunits average molecular weights 250, 145, 118 kDa, respectively. solubility that, for NaCl, had relative in 2% NaCl (80.20 4.95%). In contrast, decreased at higher concentrations. However, terms pH, pH 3 (91.32 5.14%), its pH. FT-IR spectroscopy used compare model compound. Five wavenumbers spectrum were identified: Amide A (3,406–3,421 cm−1), amide B (2,916–2,940 (1,639–1,640 II (1,539–1,570 III (1,234–1,250 cm−1).

Collagen is the most abundant animal protein polymer, accounting for almost 25 to 30% of total protein in animal body [1,2]. Being one of the extracellular matrix constituents of multi-cellular animals [3], it can be found in connective tissues and served as major component of bones, cartilage, skin, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, muscles, teeth and other organs of vertebrate [4,5]. both coloured and polarized light for communication. This often takes the form of a 'meral spread' in which the frontal appendages are opened to reveal species-specific coloured spots. The polarized light information is found mainly on the paddle-shaped flaps, parts of the antennae, on either side of the head. (As humans can't see polarized light, this information is depicted in the photograph ...

collagen, which is widely distributed in pluricellular animals, is one of the most fundamental constituents of the extracellular matrix, and plays mechanically or physiologically important roles in their bodies. in this study, the biochemical and physical characteristics of pepsin-solubilized collagen from the mantle of yesso scallop (ympc), a by-product of processing, was determined. electroph...

We report the case of a 25-year-old female who experienced two immediate episodes of labial, lingual and larynx angiodema after eating fried mantis shrimp (Squilla empusa), a crustacean belonging to the Squillidae family, and a third episode after eating shellfish pudding. Prick by prick tests to mantis shrimp and to other crustacean were positive. Serum specific IgE showed higher values than 0...
